Chevreuse is a 4-Star Polearm-wielding character with a Pyro vision. Debuted as a playable character in Genshin Impact Version 4.3, Chevreuse is the thirteenth Pyro character to be added to the roster after Lyney.
This Chevreuse guide, will discuss talents, constellations, weapons, and artifacts that best suit her. So, without further ado, let’s get right into it.
Chevreuse Talents
To make the most out of Chevreuse, you need to know about her kit and which talent takes priority when building her the right way. Her talents are given below:
Line Bayonet Thrust EX
Line Bayonet Thrust EX includes her Normal Attack, Charged Attack, and Plunging Attack.
Normal Attack
Chevreuse performs up to 4 consecutive spear strikes.
Charged Attack
Consuming a certain amount of stamina, Chevreuse lunges forward with her spear, dealing damage to enemies along the way.
Plunging Attack
While midair, Chevreuse summons her polearm and smashes it into the ground, dealing AoE damage.
Short-Range Rapid Interdiction Fire
Using her Elemental Skill, Chevreuse aims her musket and fires at her opponents dealing AoE Pyro DMG. Every 2s after Chevreuse fires a shot, she will continuously restore HP to the active character on the field for 12s. The amount healed is based on her Max HP.
By holding the skill button, Chevreuse enters Aiming Mode, locking on to a target in her sights to fire a precise shot. Chereuse gains an Overcharged Ball every time an Overloaded reaction is triggered, having the capacity to hold only one at a time. If she has an Overcharged Ball, using its effect, she will deal greater Pyro DMG in a larger area. While her skill has so many perks, its long cooldown of 15s makes this Skill balanced.
Ring of Bursting Grenades
Chevreuse fires an explosive grenade at opponents with her musket, dealing AoE Pyro DMG. After the projectile hits, it will split into many Secondary Explosive Shells which will burst after a short interval, dealing Pyro DMG to nearby opponents.
Her Secondary Explosive Shells will knock the enemies toward the center of the blast, having an effect similar to Sucrose’s Elemental Skill. Requiring only 60 energy and a Burst Cooldown of 15s, Chevreuse is quite convenient to build as you don’t need to focus on ER much.
Vanguard’s Coordinated Tactics
When there are only Pyro and Electro members in the party, an effect called Coordinated Attacks can be triggered through an Overloaded Reaction. It reduces the Pyro and Electro resistance of the opponents by 40% for 6s.
Unlocked at Ascension 1, this passive provides a huge advantage to the whole party in producing huge numbers of DMG, making Chevreuse a great support for the whole team.
Vertical Force Coordination
After firing an Overcharged Ball using her Skill, Chevreuse provides 1% ATK Buff for every 1000 Max HP Chevreuse has for 30s. The ATK that can be increased this way has an upper limit of 40%.
Unlocked at Ascension 4, this passive makes Chevreuse a great Buffer for her party. The only restriction to both Vanguard’s Coordinated Tactics and Vertical Force Coordination is that it requires a team exclusively built on Pyro and Electro characters, which can be annoying at times.
Double Time March
Chevreuse’s utility passive gives her whole team a Stamina Buff, reducing its consumption by 20%.
Talent Priority
All of Chevreuse’s talents are essential parts of her kit. However, the main source of her support abilities and damage, her Skill, takes priority when it comes to leveling up your talents. Afterward, her Burst takes priority over Normal Attack just because it’s not used much. While her Burst can give you a decent amount of DMG, it is important to note that it scales off ATK, which means that you have to sacrifice a little bit of her HP to raise its DMG. Apart from that, her talent priorities are as follows:
Support – Healer Build
Elemental Skill > Elemental Burst > Normal Attack
Chevreuse Constellations
Chevreuse’s constellations have a prominent effect on her output as a support. However, it is important to note that she can heal just fine at C0. With that said, if you’re dead set on making her one of the best supports in the game, then you need to know these details about Navia’s constellations.
C1: Stable Front Line’s Resolve
Excluding Chevreuse, if any member of the party with Coordinated Tactics triggers an Overloaded reaction, they will replenish 6 energy. This effect can be reproduced every 10s, giving the party members additional Energy to burst more frequently.
C2: Sniper Induced Explosion
After holding the Skill button and hitting a target, 2 chain explosions will be triggered near the location where the target is hit, regardless of an opponent being hit. Each explosion deals 120% of Chevreuse’s ATK. This effect can be triggered every 10s, and this DMG is considered Skill DMG.
C3: Practiced Field Stripping Technique
Chevreuse’s C3 constellation increases her Skill level by 3. The Maximum level for her Skill is 15. Since her Skill is the main source of her healing and support, increasing its level will improve Chevreuse’s performance significantly.
C4: The Secret to Rapid-Fire Multishots
After using Chevreuse’s Elemental Burst, holding the Skill button will not make it go on cooldown unless you use the Skill two more times. This effect is removed after 6s.
C5: Enhanced Incendiary Firepower
Chevreuse’s C5 constellation increases her Burst level by 3, where the Maximum level for her Burst is 15.
C6: In Pursuit of Ending Evil
After 12s of the healing effect from Short-Range Rapid Interdiction Fire, all nearby party members recover HP equivalent to 10% of Chevreuse’s Max HP once. Plus, they gain a 20% Pyro & Electro DMG Bonus for 8s. This effect can be stacked thrice, the duration of which will be counted independently.
Best Weapons For Chevreuse
Choosing a suitable weapon for most characters is a challenging task in Genshin Impact. However, that’s not the case with Chevreuse. The main stats that she needs to maximize her support output are HP% and Energy Recharge. With that in mind, here’s a list of the best weapons Chevreuse can use to best support her party.
1) Favonius Lance (565 ATK • 30.6% Energy Recharge)
Windfall: CRIT Hits have a 60% / 70% / 80% / 90% / 100% chance to generate a small amount of Elemental Particles, which will regenerate 6 Energy for the character. This effect can only occur once every 12s / 10.5s / 9s / 7.5s / 6s.
Favonius Lance can be considered Chevreuse’s Best-in-Slot, considering that you want to use her Burst every rotation. It’ll give her more Burst uptime.
2) Black Tassel (354 ATK • 46.9% HP)
Bane of the Soft: Increases DMG against slimes by 40% / 50% / 60% / 70% / 80%.
Black Tassel is Chevreuse’s best weapon for a healer build, giving her a high HP Bonus to reach the 40,000 HP limit so she can focus on Healing Bonus for her artifacts, making her one of the top healers in the game.
3) Rightful Reward (565 ATK • 27.6% HP)
Tip of the spear: When the wielder is healed, restore 8 / 10 / 12 / 14 / 16 Energy. This effect can be triggered once every 10s and can occur even when the character is not on the field.
Rightful Reward gives Chevreuse a balanced build, giving her HP and Energy, the stats she needs most to perform. Although the HP% is low as compared to Black Tassel, it’s still a decent weapon to equip Chevreuse with.
4) Prototype Starglitter (510 ATK • 45.9% Energy Recharge)
Magic Affinity: After using an Elemental Skill, increases Normal and Charged Attack DMG by 8% / 10% / 12% / 14% / 16% for 12s. Max 2 stacks.
While the Passive isn’t of much use, the Energy it provides gives Chevreuse Burst uptime, which is crucial in building her the right way.
Best Artifacts For Chevreuse
Chevreuse’s best artifacts are mainly Healing-based. However, these are the best artifacts she can use to maximize her kit:
1) Noblesse Oblige (4-Piece)
2-Piece Bonus: Elemental Burst DMG increased by 20%.
4-Piece Bonus: After using Elemental Burst, the party gains an additional 20% ATK for the next 12s.
Considering that no other party member has this artifact set on them, using this artifact set on Chevreuse would make her Burst more useful, all while Buffing the party’s ATK by 20%. It’s the best artifact set for Chevreuse if her HP has hit the 40,000 benchmark.
2) Song Of Days Past (4-piece)
2-Piece Bonus: Healing Bonus increased by 15%.
4-Piece Bonus: Records the amount of healing done by the wielder or 6s (Max 15,000 HP). After 6s, 8% of the HP healed is given as an ATK Buff to the party for 10s.
The flat DMG bonus it gives to Chevreuse’s teammates is a decent DMG Buff. the 4-piece Bonus it provides is suitable for characters that don’t provide much healing.
3) Ocean Hued Clam (4-piece)
2-Piece Bonus: Healing Bonus increased by 15%.
4-Piece Bonus: After healing a party member, a Sea-Dyed Foam appears for 3 seconds, storing HP recovered from healing, including any overflowed healing. After these 3 seconds, the Sea-Dyed Foam will explode, dealing 90% DMG of the accumulated healing. The healing stored has an upper limit of 30,000 HP, and this effect can be triggered even when the character is not on the field.
Putting aside the lengthy explanation given above, Ocean-Hued Clam is a great artifact set for Chevreuse as the healing she provides will turn into DMG. Even though she can’t fully utilize this effect, she isn’t able to heal anywhere near the 30,000 HP limit. All things aside, Chevreuse can make use of this artifact set to improve her support game.
Artifact Stats Priority
Chevreuse’s main contribution to her team is her healing. To maximize her utility in the party, get as many HP stats to reach 40,000. But if you’re deadset on using her Burst in every rotation, fulfill her Energy needs first. After that, you can just prioritize her other stats as you see fit. Having said that, having some CRIT Rate on her would help if you’re using Favonius Lance to utilize its passive. Here are the artifact stats you should be focusing on
Sand:
Main Stat: Energy Recharge / HP%
Goblet:
Main Stat: HP%
Circlet:
Main Stat: HP%
Substats:
Energy Recharge > HP% > Flat HP > CRIT Rate (For Favonius)
Team Compositions For Chevreuse
Chevreuse’s Team Comps are restrictive due to her affinity with Pyro and Electro characters. Her main role in a team is to provide Buffs and Heal her teammates. With that in mind, here are some Team Comps Chevreuse can utilize to showcase her kit at maximum utility.
Yoimiya Overload Team Comp
Chevreuse | Bennett | Yoimiya | Raiden Shogun |
This is the best team composition for Chevreuse and an excellent team composition in the game. Chevreuse’s main value is in her Healing and DMG Buff. To make the most out of her abilities, use this Team comp to destroy your opponents. Moreover, having three Pyro characters will activate Pyro Resonance, boosting ATK by 25%
Party Members And Their Roles
- Chevreuse is the Main Healer and a Buffer.
- Bennet’s Burst provides healing as well as a bonus ATK for Yoimiya.
- Yoimiya is the Main DPS of the party, making full use of Chevreuse’s and Bennet’s Buffs to put absurd DMG numbers on the screen. Alternatively, Lyney can played instead of Yoimiya to put up a similar gameplay.
- Raiden Shogun acts as the Sub DPS of the party, triggering an Overload reaction with Yoimiya to activate Chevreuse’s passive while also acting as the party’s battery. Likewise, you can also use Fischl to trigger this Overload reaction.
Raiden Hypercarry Team Comp
Cehvreuse | Bennett | Kujou Sara | Raiden Shogun |
With two types of Elemental Resonance effects activated, this Chevreuse’s Team Comp will boost your stats insanely high. With Electro Resonance providing Elemental Particles with every Electro Reaction, it allows more frequent Bursts. On the other hand, Pyro Resonance boosts your ATK, making this Team Comp formidable.
Party Members And Their Roles
- Chevreuse provides healing and boosts DMG, especially at C6.
- Bennet’s Burst provides healing as well as a bonus ATK for Yoimiya.
- Kujou Sara boosts the party ATK considerably, and at C6, she’s the best support for Raiden Shogun. Alternatively, you can also use Fischl for support if you don’t have Kujou Sara.
- Raiden Shogun is the Main DPS of the party, all while being the party’s battery. She can also activate Overload Reaction with Chevreuse.
Lisa Overload Team Comp
Cehvreuse | Fischl | Xiangling | Lisa |
We all know how hard and costly it is to afford characters like Raiden Shogun and Yoimiya. For this purpose, Chevreuse’s F2P Team Comp, though not the best there is, compensates for the lack of available characters.
Party Members And Their Roles
- Chevreuse is the Main Healer and a Buffer.
- Fischl is the support, dealing exceptional off-field DMG and providing consistent Electro application for triggering Overload. As a matter of fact, she even has excellent Energy Particle generation, acting as a battery for the team.
- Xiangling is the Sub DPS, dealing excellent off-field Pyro DMG and slightly boosting the Pyro DMG of the party.
- Lisa is the Main DPS in this Team Comp. While not the best there is, combined with Chevreuse’s Crowd Control Burst, Lisa’s Burst can prove to be quite effective in certain situations. In addition, she doesn’t need much time for her rotation, making the team comp pretty comfortable to play as a beginner.
