Puzzles are the backbone of most action-adventure games, especially those revolving around forests and hidden artifacts, and Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown is a prime example. One puzzle featured in this game, however, has left many players scratching their heads. Located in the Soma Tree region, this puzzle involves three statues, two of which have been misplaced. So, without further ado, let’s crack this puzzle!
How To Solve The Soma Tree Statue Puzzle In The Lost Crown?
The Three Statues Puzzle in Prince of Persia: The Last Crown can be solved by deciphering the riddle inscribed on the stele. This stone slab, conveniently positioned adjacent to the states, bears the following riddle:
These statues keep a watch, a certain direction they face.
There’s an object hidden within a certain place.
The largest looks to the east and watches all the rest.
The medium guards the smaller in the direction that is best.
Finally, observing the other two, the smallest awaits a guest.
Fortunately for us, and for Sargon, the puzzle at hand is far less complex than the clues in the Grail Diary that Indiana Jones used to walk out of the traps in The Last Crusade. Our task revolves around locating the two absent statues and aligning them correctly. Here’s a detailed guide on how to get each statue to the right place.
The First Statue
Arguably the easiest statue to find, here’s how to solve this part of the puzzle:
- Take Sargon to the left area of the puzzle chamber (right next to the stele).
- Ascend the ledges and move right until you find a statue painted predominantly in red and gold.
- Utilize the Dimensional Claw to interact with it.
- Once done, return to the central puzzle chamber and use the Dimensional Claw once more to position the statue on the left-most plinth (the one next to the stele).
- Since it’s the largest statue, you’ll now have to rotate it so that it faces towards the east.
The Second Statue
To tackle the second part of the puzzle, you’ll need to find a statue with an all-gold attire and a green hat. Here’s how to do it:
- Once again, make your way to the left side of the stele. But instead of going up, you’ll have to drop down this time.
- Jump onto the first pathway you see on the right.
- Here, you’d spot a purple screen, which acts as a barrier that restricts you from transporting the statue through it using your Dimensional Claw. Pass through it and continue exploring until you find the statue.
- Employ the Dimensional Claw to seize it.
- To circumvent the barrier, hoist the statue on the wooden platform above the dead end on the right side by using the Dimensional Claw.
- Now retrace your steps back to the main puzzle room and go right so that you can drop down the platform and retrieve the statue.
- Now simply bring the statue to the puzzle area and position it on the central plinth.
- Since it’s a medium-sized statue, we have to orient towards the direction in which it guards the smaller statue. We’ve figured out that this direction is west, or to the left, where it directly faces the larger statue.
The Third Statue
To solve the third part of the statue puzzle, you can simply:
- Pick up the small statue (predominantly blue attire).
- Place it on the right-most plinth.
- Now since this statue’s orientation should allow it to observe the rest of the statues, we’ll have to rotate it so that it’s facing the left side (like the second statue).
Congratulations! You’ve now successfully assembled the three statues and completed the side quest. And now, you’ll receive a reward for all your hard work.
What Reward Do We Get For Solving The Three Statues Puzzle?
Players receive an Azure Damascus Ingot upon the completion of the quest. This precious item can be utilized to enhance all of Sargon’s weapons, including his dual swords, bow and arrow, and Chakrams.
Final Thoughts
The Three Statues puzzle, while seemingly simple, can take hours to figure out if you don’t know where to look. It even took us a while to figure out how to move the second statue, and considering that the game is full of similar puzzles, is there any that gave you an even harder time?
