Navia is a 5-Star Claymore-wielding Geo character who’s a part of Fontaine’s large roster of characters. Debuted as a playable character in Genshin Impact Version 4.3, Navia is the first Geo character to be released after Yun Jin, who was added in Version 2.4.
In this Navia build guide, we’ll discuss her talents, constellations, weapons, and artifacts that best suit her. So, without further ado, let’s get right into it.
Navia’s Talents
To make the most out of Navia, you need to know about her kit and which talent takes priority when building her the right way. Her talents are given below:
Blunt Refusal
Bunt Refusal includes her Normal Attack, Charged Attack and Plunging Attack.
Normal Attack
Navia performs up to 4 consecutive attacks, summoning her Gunbrella to finish off the last attack. It is an important part of her kit when playing her as an On-field DPS.
Charged Attack
Consuming stamina, Navia performs a series of spinning attacks, dealing damage to nearby enemies.
Plunging Attack
While midair, Navia summons her weapon and smashes it into the ground, dealing AoE damage.
Ceremonial Crystalshot
After gaining Crystal Shrapnel stacks through Elemental Shard from Crystallize’s reaction, Navia uses her skill to fire Rosula Shardshots, dealing Geo damage. The more stacks consumed, the more shots fired (5/7/9/11) and the more damage dealt – Navia can carry a maximum of 6 stacks at once. Moreover, her Skill damage increases when multiple shots hit a single opponent, peaking at 200% with all 11 hits. To add the cherry on top, consuming over three stacks adds 15% DMG per extra stack beyond 3.
With that said, you can probably tell that her Elemental Skill is the main source of her damage. However, note that since her Skill has a small range, it is recommended to be used in close proximity to the enemy to output maximum damage. You can also hold the skill button to aim at your opponents better. Let’s not also forget that, just at C0; her skill is provided with two initial charges having a cooldown of 9s for each.
As the Sunlit Sky’s Singing Salute
Activating Navia’s Burst launches a barrage of cannons, dealing AoE Geo damage, followed by Cannon Fire Support for 12s after the burst. Every shot that hits an opponent gives Navia 1 stack of Crystal Shrapnel, an effect activated after every 2.4s.
Having a cooldown of 15s, Navia’s Burst requires 60 Energy to be executed. While not the best part of her kit, it certainly is a great support when playing Navia as an off-field DPS.
Undisclosed Distribution Channels
After using Navia’s Burst, her Normal and Charged attacks are infused in Geo. This effect lasts for 4s after her Burst, and the damage dealt by Normal, Charged, and Plunging Attacks is increased by 40%.
Unlocked at Ascension 1, this passive talent allows Navia to improve her game as the Main DPS of the party by giving her more on-field time.
Mutual Assistance Network
For each Pyro/Cryo/Hydro/Electro member in the party, Navia’s ATK output is increased by 20%. However, this effect can only stack up to 2 times.
Unlocked at Ascension 4, this passive gives Navia a huge buff, depending on her team compositions. Moreover, the stack limit of 2 is, situationally, a good thing. Since some of her teams require another Geo character, you can just pick them without feeling guilty about sacrificing another 20% ATK buff.
Painstaking Transaction
Her utility passive gives her a 25% bonus reward when dispatched on an expedition in Fontaine for 20 hours.
Talent Priority
All of Navia’s talents are essential parts of her kit. However, the main source of her damage, her Skill, takes priority when it comes to leveling up your talents. Afterwards, between her Normal Attack and her Burst, it’s just a matter of how you want to play Navia. Building her as an On-field DPS would prioritize Normal Attack. On the other hand, building her as an Off-field DPS prioritizes her Burst. Apart from that, her talent priority is as follows:
On-field Main DPS build
Skill > Normal Attack > Burst
Off-field Sub DPS build
Skill > Burst > Normal Attack
Navia Constellations
Even though her constellations have a prominent effect on her output, Navia’s a wonderful Geo character, operating notably well even at C0. She’s easy to play with and doesn’t really need those constellation buffs. But if you’re dead set on spending your currency on her, then you need to know these details about Navia’s constellations.
C1: A Lady’s Rules for Keeping a Courteous Distance
Each Crystal Shrapnel Navia consumes when she uses her skill, which will replenish 3 Energy and reduce the cooldown to her Burst by 1s. This effect can be stacked three times at max and makes a prominent difference to Navia’s kit.
C2: The President’s Pursuit of Victory
The CRIT Rate of Navia’s skill is increased by 12% with each stack of Crystal Shrapnel with an upper limit of 36% buffed CRIT Rate. Moreover, hitting an opponent with your skill will trigger a cannon shot, which is considered her Burst damage. This constellation is also useful for a Main DPS Navia, providing additional CRIT Rate and bonus damage.
C3: Businesswoman’s Broad Vision
Navia’s C3 constellation increases her Skill level by 3, the maximum level being 15. Since her skill is the main source of her damage, increasing its level will significantly increase Navia’s damage output.
C4: The Oathsworn Never Capitulate
When Navia’s Burst hits an opponent, their Geo Resistance is reduced by 20% for 8s. Reducing Geo Resistance is a rare skill not many characters have, so it’s really a great passive that increases Navia’s damage considerably.
C5: Negotiator’s Resolute Negotiations
Navia’s C5 constellation increases her Burst level by 3, the Maximum level being 15. Sub-DPS Navia depends on her Burst, so leveling it up is not a bad option.
C6: The Flexible Finesse of the Spina’s President
Consuming more than 3 stacks of Crystal Shrapnel when using Navia’s Skill increases her CRIT damage by 45% by each stack, reaching up to 135% boosted CRIT DMG. This constellation is a huge game changer for Navia as it allows her to have an absurd amount of CRIT damage during her Skill. It also makes building her easier as your main focus would be to add more CRIT Rate to land these fatal hits more often.
Best Weapons For Navia
Choosing a suitable weapon for any character is a challenging task, even for Navia. With all the variety there is in Claymores, one has to think hard before opting for a certain weapon as you’re spending your time and currency on it. Don’t worry cuz we got you covered in that regard. Here’s a list of the best weapons Navia can use to fight off the baddies.
1) Verdict (674 ATK • 22.1% CRIT Rate)
Many Oaths of Dawn and Dusk: Increases ATK by 20% / 25% / 30% / 35% / 40%. Moreover, any character in the party picking up an Elemental Shard will gain a Seal, which increases Skill DMG by 18% / 22.5% / 27% / 31.5% / 36%. The effect lasts for 15s and can be stacked up to 2 times. However, using the Skill will fade the effects.
Navia’s Best-in-Slot weapon, which was also released as her signature weapon, has an extremely high Base Attack with CRIT Rate as the secondary stat. Its refinement effect synergizes with Navia as her Skill is the main source of her damage.
2) Serpent Spine (510 ATK • 27.6% CRIT Rate)
Wavesplitter: For 4s, after a character is switched, their DMG is increased by 6% / 7% / 8% / 9% / 10% and takes 3% / 2.7% / 2.4% / 2.2% / 2% more DMG. This effect can stack up to 5 times and doesn’t rest when the character is off-field. However, its stack is reduced by one when they take DMG.
Serpent Spine is the next best option for Navia, and not just among the 4-star weapons. Its high CRIT Rate, along with its passive, makes it the best possible weapon for her after Verdict. The only problem with it is the increased DMG, which is covered by a shield character or the crystal shards that she consumes.
3) The Unforged (608 ATK • 49.6% ATK)
Golden Majesty: The Shield Strength is increased by 20% / 25% / 30% / 35% / 40%. Hitting opponents with it increases ATK by 4% / 5% / 6% / 7% / 8% for 8s with a maximum of 5 stacks. This effect can only occur once every 0.3s. Moreover, this effect is amplified by 100% when you’re protected by a shield.
The Unforged is an excellent choice for Navia in most scenarios where she can make use of that extra ATK when protected by a shield. One downside with this weapon is that it’s hard to build her CRIT stats with this weapon.
4) Wolf’s Gravestone (608 ATK • 49.6% ATK)
Wolfish Tracker: ATK is increased by 20% / 25% / 30% / 35% / 40%. Hitting opponents with less than 30% HP increases all party members’ ATK by 40% / 50% / 60% / 70% / 80% for 12s. This effect can only occur once every 30s.
Wolf’s Gravestone is another solid choice for Navia, as it amplifies her ATK greatly. However, it is a niche weapon for her, performing at its peak condition only in certain situations. Moreover, it gives you another challenge to build her CRIT stats.
5) Tidal Shadow (510 ATK • 41.3% ATK)
White Cruising Wave: ATK is increased by 24% / 30% / 36% / 42% / 48% for 8s whenever the wielder is healed, and this effect is activated even when the character is off-field.
A great F2P option for Navia as Tidal Shadow is a forgeable Claymore obtained from Estelle, an open-world NPC located in the Court of Fontaine. The weapon provides a huge ATK buff to Navia but the fact that it becomes difficult to build her CRIT stats is a pain.
Best Artifacts For Navia
Navia can use a variety of artifact sets. However, these are the best artifacts she can use to maximize her kit:
1) Nighttime Whispers In The Echoing Woods (4-Piece)
2-Piece Bonus: ATK Bonus +18%
4-Piece Bonus: Geo damage is increased by 20% for 10s after using Skill. Under a shield, this effect is amplified by 150%, which disappears 1s after shield removal.
This artifact set is Navia’s best-in-slot, which grants her great additional damage when paired with a shield character, which is the usual standard in her team compositions.
2) Archaic Petra (2-piece) /Any ATK set (2-piece)
Archaic Petra 2-Piece Bonus: +15% Geo Damage Bonus
Any ATK set 2-Piece Bonus: +18% ATK Bonus
These artifact sets are not a bad option to choose when you don’t have Navia’s best-in-slot. They provide almost the same effect as her best artifact set, only that these stats are a little nerfed.
3) Golden Troupe (4-piece)
2-Piece Bonus: Increases Skill damage by 20%.
4-Piece Bonus: Skill damage increased by 25%. Moreover, Off-field Skill damage is increased by a further 25%. This effect is cleared after 2s of switching to the field.
As said earlier, Navia’s Skill is her main source of DMG. Using this artifact set on her provides her with the buff she needs to make her Skill an absolute monstrosity.
Artifact Stats Priority
Unless there’s a Geo battery in the party, Navia has trouble fulfilling her Energy needs. For this purpose, you should be focusing on ER as the primary substats for frequent bursts. Afterwards, you can focus on CRIT DMG / CRIT Rate or even ATK%, depending on the weapon you have given her. For instance, if Navia is wielding The Unforged, you should be focusing on her CRIT stats as they give her a balanced build and vice versa. Overall, these are the Main Stats that you should be building your artifacts on:
Sands:
Main Stat: ATK% / Energy Recharge (ER is more important to maintain burst uptime)
Goblet:
Main Stat: Geo DMG Bonus
Circlet:
Main Stat: CRIT Rate / CRIT DMG
Substats:
ER > CRIT DMG / CRIT Rate > ATK% > Flat ATK
Team Compositions
Navia’s Team comps are a bit restricted due to her energy requirements, for which a Geo character is needed. While this is not an absolute statement, Main DPS Navia shines the best with another Geo backing her up. With that in mind, here are some Team Comps Navia can utilize to showcase her kit at maximum utility.
Double Geo & Pyro Resonance Team Comp
Navia | Xiangling | Bennett | Zhongli |
This is arguably the best team composition for Navia and an excellent team composition overall. Navia’s huge amounts of damage come from her Skill, which scales off ATK. To fulfil that order, you may use this team comp to put up a good show. Moreover, both these characters activate the Pyro Resonance, which buffs the party’s ATK by 25%.
Party Members And Their Roles
- Navia is the Main DPS of the party.
- Xiangling provides an Off-field Pyro application, acting as a reaction enabler and a Sub DPS.
- Bennet’s Burst provides healing as well as a bonus ATK for Navia.
- Zhongli mainly provides Geo Resonance and a shield while also providing a buff for Navia.
Navia-Furina Team Comp
Navia | Furina | Bennett | Kokomi |
Navia-Furina Team Comps are stunning as they produce large numbers on the screen. However, it’s quite limited due to two reasons. One is that Navia needs a strong enabler for Crystallize, but Furina can’t apply that. The same is the case with Bennett. The second reason is that Furina’s Elemental Skill keeps draining HP from her teammates, and Bennett can’t properly heal his team. For this purpose, Kokomi comes in and solves both problems. Her healing abilities are sufficient to make up for the health loss brought about by Furina. Moreover, she’s an excellent Hydro enabler for Navia’s Crystallize reactions.
Party Members And Their Roles
- Navia is the Main DPS of the party.
- Furina buffs Navia’s ATK and also plays the role of a Sub DPS.
- Bennet’s Burst provides healing as well as a bonus ATK for Navia.
- Kokomi mainly provides healing to deal with Furina’s health-draining ability while also acting as a buffer and a Hydro enabler for Navia.
Ending Notes
